© 2026 Truong Nguyen (Truong Atlanta). All rights reserved.

Any reproduction, republication, distribution, transmission, public display, creation of derivative works, or use of any content on truongatlanta.com for commercial purposes without prior written permission from the copyright owner is an illegal act. Violators may face civil and criminal liability under U.S. federal law, with damages potentially reaching up to $150,000 for each infringed work (17 U.S.C. § 504).

Fair Use Policy

Truong Atlanta respects and adheres to the principle of Fair Use as outlined in Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Law (17 U.S.C. § 107). In our content production, we may use third-party materials — including images, excerpts, charts, and other reference materials — for the following legitimate purposes:

  • News Reporting: Using material to illustrate and supplement analyses of current events, economics, and community issues.
  • Commentary & Criticism: Quoting to facilitate commentary, evaluation, and analysis of current affairs, culture, and social issues.
  • Education: Sharing information to raise community awareness about political, legal, and life issues in the United States.

When applying Fair Use, Truong Atlanta fully considers the four legal factors as stipulated:

  • Purpose and Character of Use: The content is used for non-commercial, journalistic, and educational purposes, and involves significant transformative use — meaning it adds commentary, analysis, or new perspectives rather than mere reproduction.
  • Nature of the Copyrighted Work: We prioritize quoting from widely published materials (public domain or widely published materials) and limit the use of highly creative, unpublished works.
  • Amount and Substantiality of the Portion Used: Only a small and necessary portion of the original work is used — just enough to serve the purpose of commentary or reporting without substituting the value of the original work.
  • Effect of the Use Upon the Potential Market: The use does not diminish the commercial value or potential market for the original work. We always attribute sources and link to original content whenever possible.

If you are a copyright owner and believe that the use of your material on truongatlanta.com falls outside the scope of Fair Use, please contact us using the information at the bottom of this page or submit an official DMCA notice according to the procedure below.

  • Short Excerpts Only: Only a short portion of the article may be quoted (maximum 25% of the content or 300 words, whichever is less). Copying an entire article or a substantial part of it without written permission constitutes copyright infringement.
  • No Alteration of Meaning: Quoted content must retain its original meaning. Editing, altering, or placing content in a context that changes its nature or the author's intent is prohibited.
  • No Unauthorized Commercial Use: The use of Truong Atlanta's content for commercial purposes (advertising, marketing, sales) requires prior written permission. Contact [email protected] to discuss licensing.
