An individual once on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list has pleaded guilty to charges related to trafficking a minor in exchange for material benefits.
Donald Eugene Fields II, 61, pleaded guilty on Thursday to charges of trafficking a minor in federal court in Missouri.
According to prosecutors, between 2013 and 2016, the subject received cash, cars, motorcycles, gifts, and travel from an acquaintance to facilitate access to the victim when she was 14 years old.
Case records show the individual involved instructed the victim to perform acts as requested by his co-defendant. This person, Theodore John Sartori Sr., was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in 2024, similar to high-profile cases tracking pedophiles across borders that caused a public outcry.
Previously, Donald Eugene Fields II faced multiple charges in Missouri but fled and failed to appear in court in 2022. The fleeing suspect's status significantly delayed the judicial process. The subject was added to the FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in 2023.
In January 2025, police in Lady Lake spotted and arrested the subject during a random traffic stop on the road.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 15, 2026. The subject could face a minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life imprisonment under federal regulations after the suspect confessed to his criminal acts before the authorities.
