USA — March 24, 2026 (New York time) — U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested three adults and an infant after they illegally crossed the Niagara River from Canada into New York state via a rubber boat.

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), agents spotted a small rubber boat and one individual in the Upper Niagara River area.

Upon further inspection, authorities discovered an additional man, woman, and infant hiding behind a nearby tree.

All four individuals were identified as having crossed the Niagara River from the Canadian side to enter U.S. territory.

Current status:

  • All have been arrested
  • Identities and nationalities have not been released
  • Legal status remains unclear

The incident demonstrates that illegal border crossing routes are not limited to the southern border but are also appearing at the northern border between the U.S. and Canada.
