A truck accident carrying approximately 1 million bees caused the swarm to spill out, forcing the partial closure of a Knoxville highway.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the vehicle overturned on Interstate 40 on Friday morning.
After the collision, the bees escaped and swarmed around the area, posing a danger to passing traffic.
The ramp from eastbound I-40 to Henley Street was blocked off as authorities processed the scene.
Footage showed response teams wearing beekeeping protective gear, using water to control the swarm and prevent them from flying into traffic.
