Information surrounding Adva Lavie is drawing attention as her personal past, involving a fatal traffic accident and legal issues, is resurfacing. This comes as she is currently engaged to Stephen Cloobeck—a financial supporter of Eric Swalwell.
According to legal records, an accident occurred in October 2022 in the Encino area of Los Angeles. The driver, Edan Ives, made an unsafe right turn and collided with victim Manoochehr Namdar’s motorcycle, which subsequently resulted in death.
Mr. Ives was arrested in June 2023 on charges of vehicular manslaughter, receiving a sentence of 20 days in Los Angeles County jail and one year of probation.
The victim’s family filed a civil lawsuit seeking damages for emotional and economic losses. Court records show the parties reached a settlement in April 2024.
