Mission

Truong Atlanta is an independent Vietnamese-language newspaper providing timely and accurate news to the Vietnamese community in the United States. Founded and operated by freelance journalist Truong Nguyen in Suwanee, Georgia, Truong Atlanta was established out of the realization that the Vietnamese American community severely lacks reliable news sources in Vietnamese concerning issues that directly impact their lives in the U.S.

Our core mission is to bridge the information gap between mainstream U.S. media and the Vietnamese American community.

Accuracy and Verification

Accuracy is the foundation of responsible journalism. We apply the OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) method to collect and verify information from various public sources.

  • Prioritize primary sources: Government documents, official reports from federal and state agencies.
  • Multi-source verification: All critical information is cross-referenced with at least two independent sources before publication.
  • Timely corrections: If errors are discovered after publication, we correct them immediately and provide transparent notification.
  • Distinguish facts from opinions: Factual information is presented separately from analysis and commentary.

Editorial Independence

Truong Atlanta is founded and operated entirely independently by Truong Nguyen. Editorial decisions are solely made by the editorial team.
