2-Year-Old Girl Found Safe in Phoenix Following Amber Alert

Two-year-old Kehlani Rogers has been reunited with her family after Phoenix police arrested 23-year-old suspect Marina Noriega on Sunday morning. The arrest took place at a gas station near the intersection of 27th Avenue and Thomas Road. The suspect is currently facing charges of custodial interference, a Class 3 felony under state law.

According to the victim's parents, Noriega was a recently met acquaintance experiencing homelessness whom the family allowed to stay overnight. However, on Friday night, the suspect unexpectedly left the house with the toddler. Upon discovering the disappearance, the family posted information on social media and reported it to the authorities, leading to the issuance of a search alert.

A critical lead emerged when a security guard at a QuikTrip gas station recognized the woman and child matching the description in the Amber Alert. The employee immediately notified police and sought assistance from a crew from Camelback Moving who were present at the scene. The crew quickly coordinated to prevent the suspect from escaping.

Swift Coordination Between Community and Police

Employees of Camelback Moving used their specialized trucks to block the front and back of the suspect's vehicle, preventing it from leaving the parking lot. Phoenix police arrived shortly after, secured the scene, and brought the young girl to safety. The suspect was subdued and arrested on the spot without any dangerous altercations.

Chad Olsen, President of Camelback Moving, praised the sense of responsibility and quick reaction of his team. Those involved in the assistance, including Robert Hernandez, Ralph Vollmert, and other colleagues, played a major role in ensuring the young citizen's safety. A representative from QuikTrip also expressed pride in the vigilance shown by the store's security personnel.

The incident concluded with the joyful reunion of Kehlani Rogers' family and recognition of the community's efforts. The Amber Alert system once again proved its high effectiveness in connecting police and the public to find missing children. This serves as a clear testament to how individual vigilance can lead to positive outcomes for public safety.
