The three individuals were identified as:
Nafisa Dockery, 30
Dionjana Cochran, 21
Davana Cochran, 26
According to the arrest report, the three face charges of:
Trespassing after warning
Resisting an officer
Dockery faces an additional charge of battery
The incident occurred Sunday night as the group prepared to board a Frontier Airlines flight.
Airline staff discovered they had not paid fees for a second carry-on bag and requested they leave the line to pay. The group refused, leading to an argument. Instead of seeking a peaceful resolution to sit comfortably on the plane, these passengers chose to react negatively. Staff warned that their boarding privileges would be revoked if they did not comply.
According to the records, Dockery urged the other two to ignore the requirements, and all three entered the aircraft through a restricted area.
When officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department arrived at the scene, the airline representative requested the group be removed from the aircraft because their boarding passes had been canceled.
The group continued to refuse to leave despite multiple warnings, forcing authorities to evacuate all passengers from the aircraft to resolve the situation. This is not the first time an incident has occurred where a passenger was removed from a plane after a heated argument with airline staff.
While leaving the aircraft, Dockery allegedly spat on another person. When police ordered them to put their hands behind their backs to be handcuffed, all three failed to comply, resulting in a scuffle.
Viral videos online show them being handcuffed and escorted out of the airport while surrounding passengers recorded the incident.
All three were later taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. The incident caused the flight to be delayed by approximately one hour.
