Lucas Kalisher, 57, a Colorado businessman and former CEO of Summit Source Funding in Boulder, received 30 months of probation after reaching a plea deal for grabbing the neck and tackling a 15-year-old boy inside an In-N-Out restaurant in Loveland.

The Colorado 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office confirmed Kalisher originally faced a felony charge of second-degree assault involving strangulation and a misdemeanor involving a minor. Under the agreement, he must complete an anger management evaluation and treatment, write an apology letter to the victim, perform 120 hours of community service, and pay full restitution.

Loveland police stated that on August 4, 2024, a group of teenagers was playing with water and accidentally splashed Kalisher's wife. When the boy approached to apologize, a man accompanying the woman grabbed him by the neck from both sides, pulled him close to a table, and threw him onto the tile floor. Viral video shows Kalisher demanding the boy apologize and saying, “You don’t treat a woman like that.”

Kalisher and his wife left the restaurant before police arrived. Later that evening, he turned himself in after the court issued a no-bond warrant. In April 2025, Kalisher pleaded not guilty and was released on a $75,000 bond before reaching the plea deal.

If he violates probation conditions, Kalisher faces a class 5 felony with a sentence of one to three years in prison, two years of parole, and a maximum fine of $100,000.

Customers in the restaurant spoke out against the assault. The family of one of the teenagers released the video and requested community assistance in identifying the man involved.
