March 29, 2026 (New York time) – Several dogs in the city of Broomfield have been poisoned multiple times after eating drug-laced sausages, leaving their owners in a state of prolonged fear.

According to information from local police, samples of sausages containing white crystals were seized and tested positive for methamphetamine and other drugs.

The incidents began in November 2025, when Jillian Frank's mother discovered strange sausages in their yard. Upon cutting them open, she found crystalline substances suspected to be drugs. All evidence was handed over to the authorities.

Despite installing surveillance cameras, the situation persisted. On December 26, a dog named Gable exhibited abnormal symptoms after consuming a similar sausage:

  • Walking in circles incessantly
  • Panting heavily and unable to lie still

The animal required 14 hours of emergency treatment at a veterinary facility, including IV fluids and sedatives to control the symptoms.

In March 2026, another dog named Murray showed signs of poisoning: spinning and foaming at the mouth. Tests confirmed both methamphetamine and MDMA in the dog's system.

The family stated that the repetitive nature of these incidents led them to believe someone is intentionally targeting their home. However, security cameras have yet to capture the suspect.

Veterinary costs have exceeded $6,000, forcing the family to consider leaving the home they purchased in 2021—a place they once viewed as a stable haven after years of hard work.

The Broomfield Police Department confirmed they are investigating the matter as an isolated case, similar to other shocking cases in Colorado that have previously caused public outcry, while calling on residents to provide any relevant video or information.

The family has reinforced their fencing and security systems, but there are still no clear clues regarding the individual behind this dangerous behavior, especially as a well-known figure in Colorado recently faced penalties for violent behavior toward others.

The case has sparked concern in the community about the risk of pets being poisoned with illicit substances while the culprit remains unidentified, much like other criminals in Colorado who are still evading law enforcement.
