A serious fire broke out last Friday night, completely destroying a home in the area near Stone Mountain in DeKalb County. The flames spread rapidly, making firefighting efforts difficult in the dark of night.
Incidents on Greenhedge Trail
Fire crews noted that the blaze originated in the garage of the home on Greenhedge Trail before engulfing the entire structure. A FOX 5 reporter at the scene around 9:30 PM observed firefighters still working to douse remaining hotspots.
Fortunately, four family members detected the incident in time and evacuated safely. Authorities confirmed no injuries were reported following the fire.
Currently, the specific cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Local authorities stated that an investigation is being urgently conducted to clarify the details related to the incident, while advising residents to pay attention to fire safety regulations to ensure the safety of the residential area.
