The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) remains on high alert to respond to potential domestic threats amid ongoing conflicts between the U.S. and Iran, a senior FBI official told Fox News on Monday.
The Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) is also on high alert, with all resources ready to be deployed if partner law enforcement agencies request or require assistance, the official stated.
This information follows statements from FBI Director Kash Patel, who noted that FBI personnel are “fully engaged in the situation abroad.”
“Last night, I directed our counterterrorism and intelligence teams to be on high alert and to mobilize all necessary security support resources. JTTFs across the country are working 24/7, as usual, to address and deter any potential threats to the homeland. While the military is responsible for protecting forces abroad, the FBI remains at the forefront of preventing attacks at home – and we will continue working around the clock to protect the American people,” Patel wrote Saturday on the X platform.
