Locksmith Shot Dead While Opening Customer's Home

A man in West Miami has been arrested after allegedly shooting dead a locksmith who was called to open his home.

According to WTVJ, Luis David Lemus, 32, a West Miami resident, was arrested on Saturday and faces criminal charges following the shooting.

Witness Recounts Incident Details

Police stated that a witness reported being with Lemus when both were locked out of Lemus's house. A locksmith was called to open the door. While the locksmith was working, Lemus allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the head.

Suspect Fled Scene, Later Apprehended

Following the incident, Lemus left the scene. Law enforcement later located and apprehended the suspect.

According to WTVJ, Lemus has been charged with offenses related to the shooting. The suspect is expected to appear in court on Sunday.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the motive for the incident.
