DEKALB COUNTY, Georgia – State officials have confirmed the arrest of a 27-year-old woman in Decatur on charges related to online child sexual exploitation.

According to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the suspect has been identified as Emily Rae Staub. She was arrested on February 12, 2026, and booked into DeKalb County Jail.

Investigation Process

The investigation began in October 2025 when the GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit received a Cyber Tipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding suspected possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material online.

The DeKalb County Police Department assisted with the investigation.

This case falls under the umbrella of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) program, operating under the coordination of the GBI. The ICAC program was established by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the rising tide of crimes targeting minors on the internet.
