Danielle Weaver, 29, a high school teacher at Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia, faces charges of child molestation and sexual assault of a student while employed as a school staff member.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) stated that Weaver was arrested on February 18, 2026, after the school received reports of inappropriate behavior with an underage student. The school district notified law enforcement on February 3, and an arrest warrant was issued on February 17. Weaver turned herself in the following day.

The school district confirmed on February 5 that an employee involved in the incident was no longer working at the school, noting that the administration took immediate steps to ensure student safety and conduct an internal investigation.

Specific details of the allegations have not been released. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the file will be forwarded to the Southwestern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office upon completion of the investigation.

Weaver's husband, Caleb Weaver, filed for divorce on February 18, the day after his wife's arrest. Court records show the two had been separated since February 5, and the relationship was irretrievably broken. A judge granted temporary custody of their two daughters to the husband and allowed him exclusive use of the family home. Weaver is only permitted to enter the house for scheduled visitations.

Before her arrest, Weaver posted a TikTok video in 2024 complaining about an experience with a stranger she described as “creepy.” After news of her arrest spread, the video drew numerous critical comments on social media.

Leesburg is located in southern Georgia, about a 90-minute drive from Tallahassee, Florida.

Authorities emphasize that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
