Gwinnett Police searching for missing man at Lenora Park in Snellville

SNELLVILLE, Georgia — March 5, 2026

The Gwinnett County Police Department is calling for community assistance in the search for Donnie Josiah Lott III, a 27-year-old man reported missing after leaving his family at Lenora Park in Snellville.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department (GCPD), Lott was last seen around 2 p.m. Sunday at Lenora Park.

Fled from family at the park

According to his family, his parents were attempting to take Lott for a medical evaluation and support when he suddenly ran into the woods within the park and has not been seen since.

The family stated that Lott suffers from bipolar disorder. Although he has no prior history of violence, his condition can cause unpredictable mood swings.

Lott's father also shared that he has recently struggled with insomnia and depression, which led him to spend more time walking in parks or on wooded trails.

Physical Description

According to police, Lott is described as:

  • 5 feet 9 inches tall
  • Weight approximately 120 pounds
  • Wearing a white shirt, black pants, and light brown boots when he left the park

Lott's current direction of travel is unknown. Gwinnett was previously shaken by the case of former officer Miles Bryant, so ensuring the safety of residents remains a top priority for law enforcement.

Family hopes for a safe return

The family mentioned that Lott frequently visits parks, fitness centers, or wooded areas, so they hope the community will stay alert if they see him in these locations to help find him safely.
