The Texas Medical Board has suspended the medical license of Dr. An Q. Van in Houston after he was arrested in a case involving allegations of possessing child sexual abuse material, according to reports from Click2Houston, the Houston Chronicle, and Fox 26 Houston.

According to these sources, Van was arrested on February 12, 2026, on state charges and was later released on an $80,000 bond. In March, he was re-arrested on federal charges.

The Houston Chronicle reported that the investigation began in 2025 after authorities received an international alert regarding an underage victim. During a search of the suspect's residence, investigators seized suspicious data related to past abuse.

Currently, the case remains under investigation and is proceeding through the legal system. This development comes as authorities tighten medical industry oversight, similar to the case where California permanently revoked a doctor's license following recent serious violations.
