DES MOINES, Iowa — May 5, 2026

JD Vance has completed a whirlwind three-state campaign tour in a single day to support Republican candidates ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

According to reports, Vice President Vance traveled through Ohio, Oklahoma, and Iowa to fundraise, mobilize voters, and support GOP candidates in key competitive regions.

He began his day in Cincinnati, where he cast his ballot in the Republican primary alongside his 6-year-old son, Vivek.

He then participated in a fundraiser in Oklahoma City before concluding the day with a large rally in Des Moines.

During his speech in Iowa, Vance focused his attacks on Democrats regarding illegal immigration, government fraud, and the economy.

“This is not complicated. If the government fights for the people, their lives get easier,” he said.

Vice President Vance also promoted Donald Trump’s economic policies, including trade protectionism, tax cuts, ethanol fuel support, and restricting large corporations from buying single-family homes.

He also mentioned the Trump administration's role in operating a federal anti-fraud task force, claiming investigations uncovered numerous instances of fraud in subsidy programs.

In Ohio, Vance publicly endorsed businessman Vivek Ramaswamy for governor and backed Jon Husted in the Senate race.

The trip indicates that the Republican Party is launching an early campaign to protect the Trump administration’s agenda leading up to the midterms.
