March 29, 2026 (New York time) – Vice President JD Vance made a striking observation, suggesting that unidentified flying objects (UFOs) may not be extraterrestrial but rather “demons” in a religious context.

Speaking in a conversation with conservative podcaster Benny Johnson, Vance said:
“I don't think it's aliens. I think it's demons, but that's a long story.”

He emphasized that many ancient civilizations and major world religions, including Christianity—the personal faith of Vice President JD Vance—have long referenced supernatural phenomena. According to him, when facing unexplained phenomena, a religious perspective that acknowledges the existence of both good and evil still holds meaning.

The Vice President also remarked that “one of the devil’s greatest tricks is making people believe he doesn’t exist.”

Beyond his controversial statements, Vance stated he is “obsessed” with UFO-related files and pledged to investigate further during the remainder of his term. He mentioned wanting to access classified documents and even expressed a desire to visit Area 51, though he has not yet been able to do so.

Unidentified flying phenomena, often referred to as UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), have long been a subject of debate among U.S. officials. Previously, former President Barack Obama stated his belief in the existence of extraterrestrial life but noted there was no evidence of human contact.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump stated that the administration is in the process of identifying and publishing records related to UFOs and extraterrestrial life, though he remains uncertain about their existence.

Vance’s remarks immediately drew attention for blending a religious viewpoint with security and scientific issues, as the U.S. government continues to gradually declassify UFO-related documents.
