LAS VEGAS — May 8, 2026

Kamala Harris made headlines during an appearance in Las Vegas on Thursday after delivering an emotional speech about the war with Iran and criticizing President Donald Trump’s administration.

While speaking about the ongoing conflict, Harris hesitated several times mid-sentence before using an expletive to describe the situation.

According to the New York Post, she said:

“When looking at the war with Iran, which the American people do not want, which was not allowed… it should never have started… he talks about wiping out… it’s all just…”

After a few seconds of silence amidst cheers from the audience, Harris shouted:

“Bulls—t!”

She then laughed and added:

“You all made me say it! I promised I wouldn’t swear in public anymore.”

Harris continued to criticize the Trump administration over the costs of war and the economic impact on the American people.

According to her:

  • The U.S. is losing its leadership position,

  • billions of dollars are being spent,

  • gas prices are rising,

  • and the American people are bearing the consequences.

These remarks come as Harris campaigns across several states to help the Democratic Party reclaim the House and Senate in the 2026 midterm elections.

There is also widespread speculation that Harris is preparing for a potential presidential run in 2028 following her defeat to President Trump in the 2024 election.

A recent survey by the Center for American Political Studies and the Harris Poll shows that Harris is currently the top choice for Democratic voters for the 2028 nomination, with 50% support, significantly higher than California Governor Gavin Newsom at 22%.
