A 41-year-old man named Andrzej Wnuk is accused of attacking three Jewish men in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City, on Friday evening, April 25, 2026.
Police said the incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of Throop Avenue and Gerry Street. The three victims, aged 48, 38, and 21, were walking separately when they were suddenly approached and attacked by Wnuk.
According to authorities, the suspect punched one man in the back, struck another in the shoulder, and hit the third in the head while shouting anti-Semitic hate speech.
All three victims complained of facial pain but declined medical treatment at the scene.
Video captured after the incident shows police restraining Wnuk and leading him away from the scene. The suspect was wearing a black T-shirt featuring the Iranian national flag.
Wnuk appeared in Brooklyn Criminal Court later that day, with bail set at $5,000 cash. Court records show he faces multiple charges, including hate-motivated assault.
The next hearing is scheduled for April 30, 2026.
