The Atlanta Police Department (APD) has released images of a man suspected of being involved in a serious shooting that occurred in early February in the city's southwest area. The incident was recorded on February 2, 2026, at the intersection of Tucker Avenue SW and Lee Street SW, sparking local concern.

At the scene, authorities found a 47-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and quickly transported him to the hospital for emergency care. This incident adds to rising security concerns following the case of a man arrested for threatening a shooting outside an Atlanta nightclub recently. To date, the victim's specific medical condition has not been disclosed to the press by the hospital or police.

Suspect Description

According to the retrieved images, the suspect was seen wearing a black hoodie with an Atlanta Falcons logo and a black hat. A notable detail from investigators is that the man was seen with a bicycle at the time of the incident. Armed attacks often unfold unexpectedly, similar to the case of a Florida man chasing and shooting an AT&T salesperson that caused a stir previously.

Currently, the motive for the shooting is still under investigation and has not been revealed by authorities. Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta has announced a reward of up to $5,000 for anonymous information leading to the successful arrest and prosecution of the suspect. Previously, the community also experienced harrowing moments in an Atlanta shooting that claimed the life of a 7-year-old girl.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or the Atlanta Police Department regarding the February 2 case on Tucker Avenue SW. Tipsters can remain completely anonymous to assist in the arrest of the suspect in this shooting and are eligible for the reward to support the investigation.
