Congressman Eric Swalwell is facing criticism after reports revealed he missed numerous congressional votes while appearing at a mansion worth over $23 million in Beverly Hills.

Congressional records show that Swalwell posted videos from inside businessman Stephen Cloobeck's mansion on the very days he failed to cast his votes.

According to social media posts, he has been present there for at least 10 days since September.

The 9,700-square-foot estate, featuring 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and a tennis court, boasts luxury comparable to the million-dollar Los Angeles mansions often featured in high-end architectural publications.

Cloobeck confirmed Swalwell’s use of the space, referring to it as “my home.”

The videos show Swalwell conducting television interviews on the mansion grounds, with its distinctive interior decor as the backdrop.

Political analysts believe these images negatively impact his California gubernatorial campaign.

Records indicate that Swalwell had the lowest voting record among all sitting members of Congress over the past year.

Furthermore, his relationship with Cloobeck has come under scrutiny, as the businessman is a major campaign donor who also previously paid for a trip to France for Swalwell costing approximately $31,000.

Questions are being raised regarding the use of donor property and support while official duties are interrupted, reminding many voters of the Los Angeles politician criticized for inconsistencies between her words and actions.

Swalwell's team has not yet issued an official response to these reports.

A hearing regarding his residency issues is expected to continue in the near future.
