HENDRICKS COUNTY, Indiana – A 25-year-old truck driver has been arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after allegedly causing a serious traffic accident that killed an elderly man in Indiana.

Ran Red Light, Causing Multi-Vehicle Accident

According to local authorities and Fox News, the suspect has been identified as Sukhdeep Singh, 25. Singh is accused of driving a semi-truck through a red light at an intersection in Hendricks County, Indiana, leading to a multi-vehicle collision involving three vehicles.

The victim killed in the accident was identified as Terry Schultz, 64. He was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue personnel.

Handed Over to ICE for Immigration Issues

Officials stated that after being arrested at the scene by local law enforcement, Singh was handed over to ICE for detention related to his immigration status.

Reports citing federal agencies indicate that Singh entered the United States as an underage individual and currently lacks legal residency status in the U.S.
