President Trump called on remaining Iranian forces to lay down their arms and accept immunity or face "certain death," in a video message posted on Truth Social on Sunday.
"I once again call on the Revolutionary Guard, the Iranian military, and the police to lay down their arms and receive full immunity, or face certain death," he said. "It will be certain death. It will not be pleasant."
The remarks followed the deaths of three US soldiers in Iranian retaliatory strikes against US forces in the region, after a massive US and Israeli air campaign killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and more than 40 high-ranking Iranian officials.
The President emphasized that the military campaign would continue until all objectives are met, describing it as a "righteous mission" to ensure security for the US and the world against Iran-sponsored terrorist threats.
"Sadly, there may be more before it's over," he said, while asserting that the US will provide an "appropriate retaliation" for the fallen soldiers.
Officials have not yet released details on the location or circumstances of the three US soldiers' deaths. Meanwhile, fighting continues to escalate with airstrikes and counterattacks involving missiles and drones across the Middle East.
The President sent his condolences to the families of the soldiers and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
