Two people were injured in a shooting following a large brawl at the Santa Monica Pier on March 15, 2026. Police are currently investigating and searching for suspects.
SANTA MONICA, California – Two people were shot after a large brawl broke out at the Santa Monica Pier on the night of March 15, 2026, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
Police received reports of gunfire in the pier area around 9:00 PM. An initial investigation revealed that a conflict between several individuals occurred just before the shots were fired.
Two victims were shot but sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics provided first aid at the scene before transporting both to a nearby hospital.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
According to police, the cause of the brawl is still under investigation, and officials have not yet identified all the individuals involved in the incident.
The Santa Monica Pier area, a famous coastal tourist destination in California, may be partially closed temporarily while authorities continue their investigation.
