XINJIANG, China – A dramatic video captured the moment a group of tourists at the Kanas Scenic Area in Xinjiang bravely plunged into a frigid, rapidly flowing river to rescue a mother and her young daughter. The incident unfolded in a dangerous setting, showcasing the courage of those present.

According to local media, the incident occurred on February 10, 2025, when the young girl accidentally fell into the river. Her mother immediately jumped in after her to save her, but the strong current began to carry her downstream.

Bystanders quickly reacted; some tourists on the bank removed their jackets, extended them to the girl to hold onto, and worked together to pull her safely ashore. Simultaneously, on the opposite bank, three other men approached and helped the mother get out of the icy water.
