Dubai – March 7, 2026 – Emirates airline has announced the temporary suspension of all flights to and from Dubai as multiple areas of Middle Eastern airspace close amid escalating military conflict.

According to the airline's announcement, all scheduled flights are suspended until at least 11:59 PM on March 7 (UAE time). Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport unless they have a new flight confirmation, as thousands of American citizens are stranded in the Middle East. Passengers may rebook their tickets or request a refund.

The suspension comes as airspace in several Middle Eastern countries is restricted following expanded airstrikes on Iran and drone attacks in the region, causing major disruptions to international air travel.

Reports on the same day also indicated that several explosions were recorded near the Dubai airport area, corresponding to reports of attacks in Dubai that caused flight operations to be briefly paused before being partially restored.

Dubai International Airport – the world's largest international transit hub – is currently operating only a limited number of flights or repatriation flights, while airlines closely monitor the security situation to decide on resuming flight schedules.
