A U.S. military base in Saudi Arabia came under a ballistic missile attack launched by Iran, according to high-ranking military sources cited by Fox News.
Correspondent Jennifer Griffin reported that Prince Sultan Air Base, located approximately 40 miles from Riyadh, was targeted on Saturday night. Saudi Arabian air defense forces participated in intercepting the missiles to protect the base.
According to the source, Iran launched at least 300 missiles and drones at U.S. military bases across the Middle East in the latest escalation. Initial reports have not recorded serious damage at Prince Sultan Air Base.
This move marks a significant escalation in regional tensions following previous U.S. and Israeli airstrikes against Iran.
The situation at the base and surrounding areas continues to be closely monitored.
