Iranian Delegation Arrives in Geneva for Indirect Nuclear Talks with U.S.

An Iranian delegation arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday morning to participate in a round of indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States. Iranian diplomats were seen entering the Omani compound, the venue for these critical talks.

The U.S. delegation was already present at the Omani residence. The meetings in Geneva are viewed as a key diplomatic opportunity amid the U.S. buildup of naval and air forces in the Middle East to exert pressure on Tehran.

The Trump administration is pushing for a deal to curb Iran's nuclear program. Washington believes the timing is favorable for negotiations as Iran faces domestic pressure following nationwide protests last month.

For its part, Iran continues to assert its right to enrich uranium. This statement comes despite damage to the Islamic Republic's nuclear facilities following airstrikes in June, ordered by President Trump against three key sites.

The current talks are being mediated by Oman. The main discussions focus on the future of Iran's nuclear program and the possibility of easing sanctions.
