The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced on March 1st that it had launched four ballistic missiles and struck the US Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in the Middle East region.

According to Iranian media, this is part of a retaliatory campaign against recent US military activities. The IRGC asserted that the missiles hit their targets at sea.

The US immediately rejected the claim. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the missiles did not hit the aircraft carrier and caused no damage. The US military confirmed that the USS Abraham Lincoln remains fully operational with no casualties reported.

There is currently no independent evidence to verify the claims from Iran's ballistic missile network. International sources continue to monitor the situation amid rising maritime tensions.

Updates will be provided as new confirmation is received from the relevant parties.
