Two Jewish women living in Barcelona have accused staff at a Spanish spa of expelling them and behaving aggressively after discovering they were wearing Star of David necklaces, according to a video circulating on social media on May 30.

The incident occurred at the LGBTQ+ spa called Sauna Thermas. A video posted by Israeli author Hen Mazzig on social media platform X shows staff repeatedly questioning the two women about whether they were “Zionists” after seeing their Jewish symbol necklaces.

A female staff member in the video asked: “Are you a Zionist?”

When one of the women reacted, another staff member intervened and said: “The question isn't about being Jewish, but about being Zionist,” before attempting to knock the phone out of the victim's hand as she was recording.

The clip further shows several women surrounding the pair and pushing them out of the spa area. Some in the group shouted “Free Palestine” and accused them of being involved in “genocide.”

The two women then sought out a security guard outside and stated that they were denied service simply for being Jewish.

“They saw our Jewish symbols and told us we weren't allowed to be here,” one of the women said in the video.

According to Hen Mazzig, the two women have reported the incident to the police.

There has been no public response from Sauna Thermas regarding the allegations yet.
