More suspects arrested as investigation expands
British police have arrested three more men in connection with an arson attack targeting Jewish community ambulances in north London last month.
The three suspects, aged 20, 19, and 17, were arrested at various locations in East London on charges of conspiracy to commit arson endangering life.
Attack shocks community
The incident occurred on March 23, 2026, in the Golders Green area, near a synagogue.
Several ambulances were completely destroyed, causing severe damage.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer described it as a "deeply shocking" attack motivated by hate.
Counter-terrorism forces leading investigation
London's Counter-Terrorism Command is leading the investigation, although the incident has not yet been classified as a terrorist act.
Previously, two men in their 40s were also arrested but later released on bail pending further investigation.
Claims of responsibility emerge
An organization believed to have links to Iran has claimed responsibility for the incident, according to information from the intelligence monitoring site SITE.
However, authorities have not officially confirmed this link.
Community remains anxious
Helen Flanagan, representing London’s counter-terrorism police, stated that anxiety levels within the Jewish community remain high, but the arrests demonstrate that efforts to track down the perpetrators are being ramped up.
